have had hang nails for ages and cant get rid- pls help! How do i get rid of my hang nails?
A good alo vera based lotion. And do not pick them! If you see them click them with nail clippers. How do i get rid of my hang nails?
I don't know, how do you get rid of your hang nails? I bite mine off, but I wouldn't do the same to yours, as I wouldn't want to bite your nails. You could bite them off if you so desired, however.
clip them off with a pair of finger nail clippers...be careful though :)
Rub cuticle cream on your nail beds before you go to sleep.
Keep your hands an nails moisturized. Use cutilcle clippers to remove hang nails. Have regular manicures.
I used to have that problem all the time. I have found that AVON Nail Experts Strong Results Length and Strength Complex, works great. It makes your nails really strong and grow alot faster too. It is actually just a kind of vitamin that soaks into your nails and does not make a shiney coat, put in on as many times in a day that you can remember to do it. I promise you will notice the difference in about a week or two. It is really cheap too. If you catch it on sale it's only $1.99. But normally it's about $4.00 a bottle. Goes a long way also.
First yuo cut them with nail clippers then make sure to keep your hands moisturized with cream to prevent them from coming back!
What?
Apply petroluem jelly to your nail beds at night. During the day use your fingertips to massage your nailbeds (30 seconds each as many times a day as you can), if you can apply some cuticle oil while doing this that would be helpful but not neccessary. Your fingertips have natural oils and the massaging motion helps stimulate oils in the nail beds, which in turn helps reduce the dryness of the nails, thus reducing hang nails.
Hi There

I've just copied the following from a website for you. Hope it helps.

How To Prevent Hangnails

Hangnails are tiny pieces of skin that is still attached to the base or side of the nail. The usual cause... dried cuticles. They are painful but are avoidable if you follow these helpful hints.

Here's How:

1. Avoid picking at the cuticles. This can be as addictive as nail biting and can contribute to hangnails.

2. Use cuticle oil or cream to keep the skin supple around the nails. Dry cuticles contribute to hangnails.

3. The minute you see a hangnail, snip it off with a pair of nail scissors.

4. Nighttime is the perfect time to baby those cuticles. Even a little lipbalm massaged into the area will work wonders as you sleep.

5. Petroleum jelly is another good moisturiser for your cuticles. The fats in the jelly penetrate the layers of skin while the jelly forms a film preventing air from drying out the skin.

6. Vitamin E oil is another great method of healing hangnails quickly. Keep a supply of vials available at all times.

Tips: Can be caused by nervous habits of picking and nail biting.
