What evidence of chemical reaction is observed when shiny iron nails are added to copper sulfate solution?

the biggest sign of a chemical reaction here is that the mass of the nail will changeWhat evidence of chemical reaction is observed when shiny iron nails are added to copper sulfate solution?
Depending on the electronic configuration (atomic structure) of metals they have been been arranged in a table. The most electro-positive being at the top and the most electro-negative at the bottom.

Hydrogen is some where in the middle in the table.

Iron happens to be above hydrogen in the series while copper occupies a lower position.

In an aqueous solution of copper sulphate if iron filings or nails are dipped

metal copper will get deposited on the fresh (un-oxidised) surface of iron. This means iron is anodic to copper.
