Why is it that my mom doesnt mind me going to the nail salon and letting me get my nails done professionally?

My mom is ok with me going to the beauty salon to have my fingernails and my toenails done professionally even if i get a french manicure and french pedicure with long tips. When it comes to my hair she wont let me grow it out the length i want to grow it out to. I mean she wont even let me grow my hair to shoulder length. What is the deal here? Does any of this make sense at all?Why is it that my mom doesnt mind me going to the nail salon and letting me get my nails done professionally?
I have no clue? Do you work at a restaurant? If so maybe that is the reason, but tell her there is nothing wrong with having long hair and that she isnt being reasonable by doing this. tell her that you will resent her when you are older for not letting you do something so simple as growing your hair outWhy is it that my mom doesnt mind me going to the nail salon and letting me get my nails done professionally?
Not sure what her deal is. But did you know that if you have artificial nail and fix food that it is against the Serve Safe rules?
It probably is just a preference that she likes but I dont think she should not allow you to grow it if you want. It may also have to do with the line of work you do and she does not want long hair at the work place. Who knows.
It might have to do with having to keep your hair up for work otherwise I am not sure why she wouldn't let you grow your hair as long as you want.
Long hair does not look professional or manly, she is just using her own judgment.
Talk to her. Show her pictures of how you want your hair. Be willing to compromise (you give some: she gives some). Catch her at a good time: when she is happy to talk about this.





Moms have many worries. Also, see what you can do, to help her out. Go out of your way to ask what you can do, and do it, without complaining....try that for a week, before your ';hair talk';....then continue it off and on, after. You might be surprised! :)
sounds like she has some serious control problems, but how could hse keep u from growing your hair??


you should talk to her about it and see what her deal is, she really needs to let go it sounds like.
I had that problem too. I went to get her hair cut and i told the girl if i should cut my hair, and she said definantly, beecause i had all dead ends. Thats how mine worked!
The only way you are going to find out is ask..Sit her down and let her know that you would really like to grow your hair out and that you think you should have a choice since it is your hair..maybe she is just afraid that it will be hard to take care of if its long, or maybe she just thinks it looks good short..
Well, ur a guy. If ur getting married in 2008, then u are old enough to decide. She may be ur mom, but once ur 18, ur aloud to decide on ur own
umm...bed and breakfast means food is being made, which means that a health inspector will show up making sure there is no possible way things like hair could get in the food, so unless you want to walk around with a hairnet with loads of hair stuffed in there looking like an idiot why I don't you listen to your mom and keep it short
