Is there a way to hang stockings on the wood fireplace mantle without using nails?

Yes... cover the mantle in fabric. A nice runner fabric that will extend from one end of the mantle to the other.

Sit some bricks on the fabric on top of a washcloth so they will not scratch the mantle. Use three bricks. Two on each end and one in the middle.

The bricks then need to be covered in the same fabric, or the fake fluffy snow, or hid in some way. The idea is that you should not see the bricks.

The bricks will add some heavty weight to the fabric to keep it from slipping. Then you can add the stockings by using a safety pin and attaching them to the front of the fabric .

The bricks will also add height to your Christmas decorations on your mantle. You can add more bricks if you want. Sit them flat, on the side, or up tall... then place your cool Christmas decorations in varying heights to the mantle.

This is a great way to add a new look to your mantle for the holidays. Is there a way to hang stockings on the wood fireplace mantle without using nails?
